Copenhagen is one of Europe’s most enjoyable cities, known for its trendy, cool vibes and relaxed way of life. Often called 'the happiest city on Earth,' Copenhagen offers a mix of incredible food and stylish design.

The food scene here is pioneering, especially with New Nordic cuisine, which gained international fame thanks to René Redzepi’s Noma. The restaurant set a high bar for food lovers and top chefs. Whether you’re dining at Michelin-star restaurants, cozy cafés and bakeries, bars or street food spots, the city offers a wide variety of exceptional dining experiences.

Locals in Copenhagen are undeniably cool, and people-watching is a great pastime, especially in areas like Nørrebro, or the Meatpacking District. You’ll see Danish design everywhere, with its minimalist and functional style adding to the city’s charm.

No visit to Copenhagen is complete without renting a bike and exploring the streets like the locals do. The city is bike-friendly, making it easy to discover charming neighborhoods, picturesque canals, and parks.

We’ve visited Copenhagen in both summer and winter, with family and friends, and each time, we’ve fallen in love with its unique charm.

Tired of avocado toast? Think again! Frederik’s is by far the best you will ever have. Though Atelier September may not be a “hidden” gem anymore, it remains an intimate treasure. This charming, small café embodies the Danish Hygge vibe. The warm welcome sets a cozy tone, and although the menu is concise, the dishes are both original and delicious. The tiny counter is now always packed with stylish locals so it may be difficult to find a table.

Another great option for lunch! The homely café Dzidra has a funny location: in the middle of a quiet residential street, but it’s become this local hangout with really good food, cakes, and specialty coffee from La Cabra. The menu changes regularly, so one week, it might lean Greek, and the next, Italian. Enjoy your lunch outside, on benches facing an impressive mural, then grab a slice of their homemade matcha mille crêpe cake for dessert.

Owned by the team behind the top-rated 108 and Noma restaurants, and located in the same space that used to house Noma, Barr offers a slightly more casual but equally memorable experience.
