1. About Aganjú Travels
Aganjú Travels is a UK-based travel curation company. We act as an intermediary between travellers and independent local hosts and experience providers around the world. We do not directly operate, deliver, or control the experiences listed on our website.
By making an enquiry or booking through Aganjú Travels, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
2. Our Role as Intermediary
Aganjú Travels connects you with vetted local hosts and experience providers (referred to as 'Hosts'). Our role is to:
Curate and personally vet experiences we believe are of exceptional quality.
Facilitate the booking process between you and the Host.
Collect a non-refundable booking fee on behalf of the Host.
Connect you directly with your Host once a booking is confirmed.
Aganjú Travels is not the experience provider. Once your booking is confirmed and you have been introduced to your Host, the delivery of the experience is the sole responsibility of that Host.
3. The Booking Process
Our booking process works as follows:
Enquiry: You submit an enquiry for a specific experience via our website.
Availability Check: We contact the Host to confirm availability for your requested dates. This may take up to a few working days.
Booking Fee: If the Host is available, we send you a payment link to pay a non-refundable booking fee. The amount will be specified at the time of confirmation.
Host Introduction: Once the booking fee is received, we will share the Host's private contact details and any relevant logistics information with you.
Remaining Balance: The outstanding balance is paid directly to the Host on the day of your experience, unless otherwise stated in the experience-specific terms.
4. Booking Fee & Payments
The booking fee charged by Aganjú Travels is not an additional cost. It is deducted in full from the total price of the experience, as agreed with each Host.
Payments are processed via PayPal. By paying the booking fee, you agree to PayPal's terms of service in addition to these Terms & Conditions.
The remaining balance (where applicable) is paid directly to the Host. Payment methods accepted by the Host — such as cash or card — will be communicated to you once your booking is confirmed.
5. Experience-Specific Terms
Each experience listed on our website may have its own specific terms relating to:
Cancellation and rescheduling policies
Payment schedules and methods
Group sizes, age restrictions, or physical requirements
Seasonal availability
These experience-specific terms will be clearly communicated to you at the time of booking confirmation and will take precedence over these general Terms & Conditions where there is a conflict. Please review them carefully before paying the booking fee.
6. Cancellation & Refunds
6.1 Booking Fee
The booking fee paid to Aganjú Travels is strictly non-refundable. This fee covers the cost of our curation, availability checking, and the provision of exclusive access to our private Host network.
6.2 Remaining Balance
The remaining balance — paid directly to the Host — is subject to the individual Host's cancellation policy, which will be shared with you upon booking confirmation.
6.3 General Cancellation Guideline
Unless otherwise stated in the experience-specific terms, you may cancel or reschedule with the Host up to 48 hours before the experience date at no additional cost. Cancellations made within 48 hours may result in the loss of the remaining balance, at the Host's discretion.
6.4 Host Cancellation
In the rare event that a Host cancels your confirmed booking — including cancellations due to weather, illness, or other circumstances beyond your control — Aganjú Travels will refund your booking fee in full.
Where a reschedule is agreed, the original booking fee will be carried over to the new date rather than refunded.
Please note that this refund applies only where the Host cancels. It does not apply where you, the customer, choose to cancel or reschedule outside of the Host's stated cancellation window.
7. Limitation of Liability
Aganjú Travels acts solely as an intermediary and is not responsible for:
The quality, safety, or delivery of any experience provided by a Host.
Any loss, injury, damage, or disappointment arising from your experience.
Any disputes between you and a Host.
Force majeure events, including but not limited to natural disasters, extreme weather, or political unrest.
By booking through Aganjú Travels, you acknowledge that you participate in all experiences at your own risk.
We strongly recommend that all customers hold comprehensive travel insurance prior to confirming a booking. Your policy should cover, where applicable:
Personal accident and medical expenses
Emergency evacuation and repatriation
Cancellation and curtailment
Activities or experiences of the type you are booking (some policies exclude adventure or outdoor activities)
Aganjú Travels accepts no liability for any loss, cost, or claim that adequate travel insurance would have covered. By paying the booking fee, you confirm that you are aware of this recommendation and accept responsibility for ensuring you are appropriately insured.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Aganjú Travels' total liability to you shall not exceed the amount of the booking fee paid.
8. Your Responsibilities
By making a booking, you confirm that:
All information provided during the enquiry process is accurate and complete.
You meet any health, fitness, or age requirements specified for the experience.
You will communicate any relevant dietary requirements, medical conditions, or accessibility needs directly to the Host once connected.
You will behave respectfully towards Hosts, their families, and the local community.
9. Privacy & Data
By submitting an enquiry, you consent to Aganjú Travels sharing your name and contact details with the relevant Host for the purpose of facilitating your booking. Your information will not be shared with any third parties beyond this. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for full details on how we handle your data.
10. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
11. Changes to These Terms
Aganjú Travels reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. The date at the top of this document reflects when it was last revised. Bookings confirmed prior to any changes will be subject to the terms in place at the time of that booking.
