Gresca is always the first place we recommend to anyone heading to Barcelona; and clearly, we’re not the only ones, as it’s become quite the hotspot lately. So make sure to book (and do it well in advance!)

It’s a small, intimate space with an open kitchen. If you can, try to get a seat at the kitchen counter: it’s the best spot in the house. Just a heads-up: you’ll need to call to reserve those seats, as they’re not available through online booking.

The young team running the place really knows what they’re doing, and their energy makes the whole experience even more enjoyable. The food is excellent, always seasonal, always top-quality. We’d recommend trusting their suggestions, especially when it comes to wine. Every pairing they offered was spot-on and led us to some incredible new discoveries.

Don’t miss the grilled oyster to start, the cabbage with pancetta if it’s on the menu, and definitely finish with the torrija, a big favourite!
